WORCESTER, Mass. — A Shrewsbury man is undergoing evaluation after randomly attacking two people and an officer. Police say Saturday night, just before midnight, witnesses of a fight called them to a Shell gas station saying Bryan Favuzza, 32, was randomly attacking someone.

Prosecutors said Favuzza left blood on the floor and merchandise at the Grove Street gas station after brutally beating a 32-year-old man. They said store employees asked him to leave, but he instead appeared to threaten an employee with a punch and then attacked a customer with multiple punches and kicks to the head and body.

After police arrested Favuzza, they found the victim’s cell phone in his pocket. Prosecutors said Favuzza resisted arrest multiple times.

Favuzza also faces charges for another random attack to a concierge an hour earlier at an apartment building on Front Street.

“He’s currently on probation for violent assault and battery,” prosecutors said. “He appears to whisper something at the clerk making a fist motion and begins attacking another customer repeatedly kicking him at one point knocking [him] unconscious. When he walked back to the jail, the cell, he swung and struck one of the officers with the handcuffs that he was wearing.”

In court, the judge transferred him to Bridgewater State Hospital for further evaluation. Favuzza faces Unarmed Robbery, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Resisting Arrest charges. Boston 25 spoke to his family, but they said by phone that they did not want to comment.

Favuzza will be back in court on June 18.
