Fire & Dough Pizza

Fire & Dough, located at 164 Main Street in Milbridge, ME, has wood-fired pizza, which is some of the best to be had anywhere.

It is owned and operated by sisters Anne Hassett and Carrie Lacy; they always dreamed about opening their pizza shop. When the sisters were little, their father always made homemade pizza from scratch every Saturday.

Both later attended a wood-fired pizza class and then started the business in 2018. Fire & Dough serves pizza and desserts from the truck, with one of the most popular pizzas being the blueberry pizza. All food is cook via a wood-fired oven.

Their operating hours are from 11:30 am to 7 pm Sunday thru Tuesday, closed Wednesday, and from 4 to 7 pm Thursday thru Saturday. Call ahead for faster service, (207) 546-8116.

Chef on the Run

Chef on the Run, known as the purple food truck, is located at Sherman’s Corner in Liberty, Maine.

As good as any gourmet restaurant, you can find burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, smoked meats, and desserts such as cakes, pastries, and whoopie pies. You must try a peanut butter cream-filled whoopie pie. It's fabulous.

The business is owned by Tina Cook, who always dreamed about opening her own bakery/café. She purchased the big purple truck in 2015 and transformed it into a food truck. The ultimate goal of the truck is to serve fresh food made to order with local ingredients. She sources all her food from North Center and other local markets. All food is cooked on a grill, fryer, or oven.

Eat at Joe's

Eat at Joe's, located at 56 Myrick Street in Ellsworth, Maine, is a local truck serving organic ingredients. Owned and operated by Joseph Segari, who opened the truck in 2014 because he loved fresh, organic ingredients. He opened the food truck to bring fresh local ingredients to his community and give his patrons a vegan option.

Famous for Vegan-friendly favorites, such as veggie burgers and others. But they also offer 100% grass-fed beef for their bacon cheeseburgers, sandwiches, chili, and fresh-cut homemade French fries. Be sure to get the newest menu item, vegetarian chili and nachos with a scoop of sour cream.

Joe’s burgers come directly from the farm and are grilled to order. All their products are locally sourced when available for the juiciest burger possible.

You can’t Eat at Joe’s on Monday and Tuesday because they’re closed. However, they’re open from 3:30 to 6:45 Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and from 3:30 to 7:45 on Friday and Saturday. Call (207) 266-6069.
