MIAMI, May 26 (UPI) -- Rhys Hoskins spoiled another solid Sandy Alcantara outing with a 410-foot, two-run homer to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a win over the Miami Marlins in Miami.

Hoskins' deep shot came in the fourth inning of the 2-0 triumph Tuesday at loanDepot park. The Phillies win ended a three-game winning streak for the Marlins.

"If you get a good pitch to hit in the beginning of the at-bat [vs. Alcantara], you've got to have a go at it," Hoskins told reporters. "He made a couple good pitches early. I fouled off a couple tough pitches, then I finally got one in the middle of the plate. And again, you can't miss those in the middle of the plate, especially with a guy of Sandy's caliber.

"And I didn't miss it."

Alcantara and Phillies starter Vince Velasquez were in a pitchers' duel through the first three innings. Alcantara didn't allow his first hit until the fourth frame when Jean Segura singled to left field.

Rhys Hoskins stepped into the box two at-bats later. The Phillies first baseman fell behind 0-2 in the count and fended off few more pitches with foul balls. He then smacked the seventh offering of the exchange -- a 1-2, 99.8-mph fastball -- to left field for his 10th home run of the season.

Velasquez and Alcantara continued to dominate for the rest of the night. Velasquez earned his second win of the season and allowed just three hits in six shutout innings. Alcantara dropped to 2-4 and allowed two hits and two runs in eight innings.

Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth inning to earn his eighth save of 2021.

Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2 for 3 with a walk and a strikeout in the loss. Hoskins went 1 for 3 with an RBI, a run scored, two walks and a strikeout for the Phillies.

"[Sandy's] stuff was as good as always," Marlins manager Don Mattingly told reporters. "They were trying to get on him early. His pitch count was down. It seemed like as the game went on his changeup got better and better.

"On the one pitch [to Hoskins], I'm not quite sure where he was trying to go, but he didn't quite throw it where he wanted to."

The third game of the four game series at 6:40 p.m. EDT Wednesday in Miami.
