May 25 (UPI) -- Melissa Etheridge released on Tuesday a new music video for her latest single, titled "One Way Out," which will appear on a new album of the same name.
The rock icon performs the song inside of a studio alongside her original band in the music video.
Etheridge plays the guitar, harmonica and sings the track's lyrics.
"Well they say/ You can run but you can't hide/ I'd like to see how far I'd get/ Baby if I tried," she sings.
"One Way Out" is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, Deezer, Tidal, Napster and YouTube.
The One Way Out album will be released on Sept. 17. The nine-track album consists of music written in the late 1980s and early 1990s that were never released.
"I'm so excited to bring these songs to my fans. Years later I am still moved and can't wait to share these tracks live," Etheridge said in a statement.
Etheridge will perform "One Way Out" live from the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday. The show will be livestreamed with tickets available now.
The singer-songwriter will be celebrating her 60th birthday on Saturday.
