Edmonton Oilers forward Josh Archibald faces player-safety hearing

Edmonton Oilers forward Josh Archibald faces discipline for clipping Winnipeg Jets defenseman Logan Stanley in Game 3 of the teams’ first-round playoff series on Sunday.

A hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety is scheduled for Monday.

Archibald received a minor penalty for tripping, which occurred with 8:49 remaining in the third period.

The Jets won 5-4 in overtime to take a 3-0 series lead. Game 4 is set for Monday night in Winnipeg.
