Chippewa Falls Basketball Camp Is a Great Opportunity for Area Girls
The Chippewa Falls girls basketball staff has scheduled a youth basketball camp for June 8-10. The camp will be located at the Chippewa Falls high school.
This camp represents a great opportunity for area girls to interact with teachers, coaches, and mentor students. It’s also a perfect way to pick up new skills and forge future friendships.
The camp is broken into two groups. Grades 2-5 will meet from 9-11AM and grades 6-8 will meet from 12-2:30PM. Participants will meet at the front gym.
Sports are an excellent way for students to engage in activities that are both socially and physically healthy. Casual, guided practices are the perfect way for young people to learn about the joy and challenge of competition. Skill camps help plant the seed of inspiration that helps young athletes find the self motivation to practice and continue to improve on their own.
For the sake of student safety, the 20/21 school year was designed to limit social interaction. However, the social component of public education is almost as important as the content learning. School organized athletic camps are a nice option for providing children some part of the social development they didn’t have access to because of the pandemic.
The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a t-shirt. Preregistration is not required and participants are encouraged to come to camp on the first day with their payment. Keep in mind that if you register late your t-shirt size might not be immediately available.
The camp includes important elements such as skills instruction, one on one moves from the perimeter and post, drills, contests, games, and important mentoring.
One of the most difficult parts of youth sports is teaching young athletes to accept instruction. Advanced sport instruction involves concepts such as nutrition, strategy, conditioning, and skill development.
It’s vitally important that student athletes learn to listen to their coaches and develop the discipline to follow advice that will improve their abilities and overall health.
Sports represent one of the best ways to pry children away from digital devices and embrace a healthy lifestyle. Once a love of sports has taken hold, children are more inclined to make the kind of positive choices that can lead to success in all aspects of their lives.
There is no better way to forge strong friendships than to participate in organized sports. Athletes who compete against one another create a special kind of bond. Students who are part of a team feel a sense of belonging and appreciation.
The Chi-Hi girls basketball camp gives students a chance to meet head coach Becca Bestul and achieve a better concept about what participating in high school sports is all about. It’s a wonderful opportunity that will give any child who participates a greater chance of finding success in athletics as they continue their education in the Chippewa Falls area school district.
