Patrick Bamford Linked with Liverpool And Tottenham
Liverpool have been linked with many forwards for some time now as speculation seems to point that the Reds could target a striker this summer. Tottenham look to lose Harry Kane and will be eager to replace him quickly. It now appears both clubs have been linked with Leeds starlet Patrick Bamford.
According to a recent article from The Athletic, Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in signing the 27 year-old, who has had a fantastic season in the Premier League scoring 16 goals.
Tottenham Want Bamford To Replace Kane
As Harry Kane looks set to depart Tottenham, the London club will take to the market to find a replacement for their iconic striker. According to the Daily Mail Spurs are among one of the other clubs linked with Bamford.
The Granthem born striker has been a mainstay at Elland road since signing in 2018. Since then he has scored 41 goals in 104 appearances and won promotion to the Premier League with Marcelo Bielsa's side in 2020.
Despite interest for Patrick Bamford from several clubs, Leeds Vice-chairman Paraag Marathe has stated that the club will not sell their best players. In a recent interview with BBC Radio Leeds, Marathe said;
"I am confident that what we are building is transforming us from being a train stop to being a destination. I think for two decades we were a train stop or we have been a train stop. People maybe came to Leeds for a year or two to resurrect their career or finishing out their career and they would play at Leeds. What we are building is where people want to be."
Leeds will undoubtedly place a hefty price tag on their star striker and Bamford has not publicly expressed any desire to leave Elland road this summer.
Offers from the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham might be hard to resist especially if the latter have millions at their disposal from the sale of Harry Kane.
