(DENVER, Colo.) Denver's three-day outdoor festival, Taste of Colorado, is returning for the 38th year. The event is free of charge and will take place from Sept. 4 through Sept. 6 throughout the downtown area to celebrate local food, music and art.

The annual event is typically held at Civic Center Park in Denver, however, this year it is taking place throughout Downtown Denver with entertainment dispersed all over. The 38th Taste of Colorado was initially supposed to take place last year but was pushed back to this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Taste of Colorado is a well-loved tradition that spans generations,” said Sharon Alton, Vice President of Downtown Experience at the Downtown Denver Partnership. “We’re proud to bring Taste back as we emerge from the pandemic, this year in a new format that will be a true celebration of our city’s culture and everything that our city’s artists, musicians, and restauranteurs have to offer."

The event is run by the local non-profit Downtown Denver Partnership, which is calling on local artists, musicians, vendors and restauranteurs who may be interested in taking part in Taste of Colorado. The goal of Downtown Denver Partnership is to create an economically healthy, growing and essential Downtown Denver.

The event's Urban Art Showcase, presented by the VF Foundation, will fuse art, community, nature, and downtown Denver's urban landscape.

Local artists are being sought out by Downtown Denver Partnership to design murals that will embrace urban adventure and exploration. Food available at Taste of Colorado will be entirely local, as restaurants, food vendors and food trucks that are located in the downtown area have the opportunity to participate at no cost.

Applications for marketplace vendors at Taste of Colorado will be accepted until June 30th. New vendors can register this year through Event Hub, a registration and communication platform, that will make submitting an application, payment and documents easy.

"Never has it been more important to highlight all things local, and we can’t wait to do just alongside our community over Labor Day Weekend," Alton said.
