The perpetrator, whose name has not been revealed publicly, was treated for smoke inhalation. A second suspect was brought in for questioning but has not been charged, according to the fire department.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said they will not be releasing more information about the alleged perpetrator “pending [the] investigation.”

No civilians have been injured, however, one officer suffered a minor eye injury in the 1,325-acre brush fire in Pacific Palisades. No structures have been damaged during the fire thus far.

Authorities said the fire is the product of at least two separate blazes on Friday night, leading investigators to believe it was arson, according to NBC News.

“Anytime you have multiple points of origins, your first thought [is], ‘This is not natural,'” Terrazas said. “There wasn’t enough wind for embers. Under normal conditions, you would consider that. But there was not very much wind” over the weekend.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has ordered residents in zones 4 and 6 in Topanga to evacuate their homes.
