Florida reports fewer than 2K new COVID-19 cases for 1st time in a month

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported less than 2,000 new coronavirus cases on Monday for the first time in more than a month.

The last time the state reported fewer than 2,000 new cases in a day was April 12 when the total new cases reported was 1,613.

On Monday, the state also reported 59 additional virus-related deaths.

Of the latest cases, 457 were reported in Central Florida.
