Juvenile hit by gunfire after fight breaks out in Harrison Twp. Sunday

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — A juvenile girl was hit by gunfire after a large fight broke out in Harrison Township Sunday evening.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of Palisades Drive on a shot-fired call around 8:50 p.m. Sunday according to a release.

Montgomery County Dispatch advised crews on scene that there was a victim located down the road on Republic Drive.

When police got to the victim, the juvenile told them she was in front of a house on Palisades Drive earlier playing with several other kids.

That’s when a fight started between adults near the house and shots were fired.

The victim was grazed by gunfire and then ran home.

She was taken to Children’s Medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

This shooting is still under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
