TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt FBLA has partnered with Hannah O’Kelly in her efforts to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The club will host the Strikeout Leukemia Lymphoma Whiffle Ball Tournament on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The event will be held at the Trussville United Soccer Fields at 4601 Pump House Road.
O’Kelley was nominated by the LLS to participate in its Students of the Year program. Proceeds from the event will be donated to her campaign. The event is school-led but not a school event.
Spectators are welcome to watch and are also welcome to make donations to the cause.
Registration is open for anyone interested in participating. Teams of 7-10 can click here to register. The cost for registration is $100 per team and each participant on the championship-winning team will be awarded a gift card.
The entry fee will be paid at the registration table beginning at 8 a.m. at the fields on the morning of the event but payment will be accepted prior to then.
