"What to watch on Netflix" has always been a confusing and daunting task. There is a sheer volume of movies on Netflix, all at your disposal makes it hard to decide which movies you should watch.

From the long list, you keep browning to choose a movie that complements your mood or on which both you and your partner agree to watch. Sometimes, after spending hours browsing, either you lose an urge to watch a movie or are too tired.

To help, we have listed few good Netflix movies currently streaming in the US we have thumbed some great watches to our list, including the classics, new releases, and some underrated movies.

Rush (2013)

It is one of the hidden gems that no one tried to explore. This movie is a sports autobiography and centred on two Formula one driver's rivalry.

The movie features two marvel stars Chris Hemsworth playing James Hunt and Daniel Bruhl, playing Austrian driver Nikki Lauda and is directed by the creator of 'The crown' Ron Howard.

It is the story of two different men who are at their best on the race track; both the actors got even screen time. The movie is based in the 1970s, and the cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle has aesthetically shown that time and has filmed exciting race scenes.

A Ghost Story (2017)

This dazzling and awe-inspiring supernatural drama is crafted by the director David Lowery, and the main protagonists are played by Casey Affleck (Musician) and Rooney Mara (Wife).

The movies revolve around a musician who died and shared the house with his wife as a ghost. It is undoubtedly a unique movie showing the sorrow of loss.

A Ghost Story tries to connect the dots of love, romance, and time in a very intricate and spooky manner.

Saving Private Ryan (1993)

This movie is an absolute classic. Steven Spielberg is well known for his blockbuster movies like Jaws and Schindler's List has once again proved by this movie that he is capable of crafting the best movie from any genre.


It is an epic war film and is based on World War II. Spielberg has impeccably and entertainingly shown how our nation served the country at war.

The high-quality cinematography is done by Janusz Kaminski and has used different techniques to reflect the period in which the movie is set. Tom Hanks's flawless performance will hook you to the movie till the end.

The Old Guard (2020)

This superhero film is an adaptation of a comic book written by Greg Ruka; he wrote the screenplay and is directed by Gina Prince-Blythewood.

The movie is perfectly executed, especially the action sequences, and the mythology is clearly defined. Charlize Theron is leading a team of immortal warriors who are on a revenge mission.

The Old Guard movie is loaded with dramatic sequences, and the cinematography is top-notch.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before (2018)

If you are looking for a light, romantic comedy movie, you will find nothing better on Netflix than this movie.

It's a story of Lara Jean (Lana Condor), a teenager who got to know that the five love letters that she wrote to her crushes are sent without her knowledge.

It is a joyful movie from start to end, and it has everything from family to love and relationships. Perfect for a light Friday evening!
