Round Rock, Texas, is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world and is widely regarded as one of the most livable cities in the country. It is an amazing place to visit in the 2021. I was there a couple of years ago and I still remeber it like it was yesterday.

Round Rock is a community in Williamson County, Texas, United States, and is part of the Greater Austin metropolitan area. The “round rock” is in the middle of Brushy Creek, near Chisholm Trail Street. Brushy Creek, a settlement that sprung up on the north bank of Brushy Creek near the “round rock” in the stream bed, gave birth to Round Rock.

Round Rock Attractions

Over the last few years, Round Rock, Texas, has made a name for itself. It is the only Texas town to make Money magazine's list of the top ten best American small towns to live in, even though the term “small” is rapidly becoming obsolete. Round Rock is the place to go when you want a big city feel with a laid-back attitude, with attractions like AAA baseball, gorgeous parks and trails, a stellar water park, and delicious food.

Round Rock Express

Attend a Round Rock Express game if you are in town during baseball season! Under the ownership of Nolan Ryan, his son Reid, and Don Sanders, the Express have been batting balls for almost two decades. The Express, a Houston Astros affiliate, plays at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

Dell Diamond

The Austin Elite rugby squad, concerts, special activities, and more are all held at Dell Diamond. From every seat in the building, including the Intel Club, the pool and spa party room, the Premium Seats behind home plate, and the four Topps tables, the stadium offers amazing views.

Old Settlers Park

Cricket, disc golf, fishing, football, soccer, tennis, basketball, hiking, and other sports are available at Old Settlers Park. There are also several rental areas available for outdoor parties and events, as well as public festivals held throughout the year.

Rock’N River Water Park

This park in Round Rock is ideal for escaping the summer sun. Buckaroo Pond is a great place for the little ones to explore, while adventurers brave The Lookout waterslides or the wet and wild Splashville. Many looking to unwind can also float around The Lazy R.

Saint William Catholic Church

This 30-acre church serves parishioners from Round Rock and the surrounding area in a single massive and beautiful structure. The property adjoins Francisco Carlin's homestead, which held the community's first mass in 1916.

Round Rock Entertainment

If you are traveling with children and want to keep them entertained, visit the Play for All Park. The park, which spans 51,000 square feet, is divided into eight “pods” where children of all abilities can engage in therapeutic exercises, learn, and play.

Round Rock Lodging

Round Rock has a wide range of lodging options to fit any budget and style. If you are visiting with family, relaxing, or in town for work, there’s something for everyone. Home2 Suites by Hilton Austin Round Rock, Hyatt Place Austin/Round Rock, and Sleep Inn & Suites Round Rock are some of the most common hotels with pools in Round Rock.

Round Rock Dining

Salt Lick BBQ is a great place to eat if you are looking for food. The slow-cooked barbeque has been served at the family-owned restaurant since 1967, but the recipes and rituals date back to the wagon trail in 1867. Hoody’s Sub Shop is also a great place to eat.
