Orlando City SC forward Alexandre Pato will be out three-to-six weeks following arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday.

The team said the procedure was performed by Dr. Craig Mintzer at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute.

Pato was injured in the Lions’ home opener against Atlanta United on April 17.

Orlando City signed the 31-year-old Brazilian to a one-year deal in February. Pato previously played for Brazil’s Sao Paulo following stints in Serie A (AC Milan), the Premier League (Chelsea) and La Liga (Villarreal).

Pato, whose given name is Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva, has totaled 160 goals and 48 assists in 398 professional appearances, according to Orlando City.

He also has 10 goals in 27 appearances with the Brazilian national team, including two goals in friendlies against the United States (2010 and 2012).
