CLAY COUNTY — One man is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Monday in Clay County.
According to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the collision took place at approximately 1:15 p.m. Monday, May 3, and claimed the life of 29-year-old Steven Lowry, of Cragford.
Police say Lowry was killed when the 1998 Ford Mustang he was driving collided head-on with a commercial vehicle. Lowry was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Alabama 77, approximately 15 miles northwest of Wadley.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
