Manistee County To Participate In Great Michigan Scavenger Hunt

Manistee County is participating in the Great Michigan Scavenger Hunt next week, which celebrates national travel and tourism week.

The Great Michigan Scavenger Hunt aims to get people excited about travelling in Michigan and locally.

Residents of Manistee have the chance to find thirty gift certificates that have been hidden around the county.

The gift cards are for anything from stays at a destination in Michigan or for local restaurants.

While twenty of the gift certificates hidden in Manistee are for various locations around Michigan, ten are specifically for places within Manistee County.

Residents can find clues to the locations on Manistee County’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Visit Manistee County says residents can even get involved without leaving their homes.

“What you can do is post a photo of your favorite travel destination,” said Sherri Protasiewicz, Marketing Coordinator for Visit Manistee County. “It does not have to be Manistee County, it doesn’t have to be in the state of Michigan, but what we want you to do is post a photo and use the hashtag ‘MI Power of Travel’ and you’ll be entered to win a really nice grand prize.”

Manistee County is one of many locations in Michigan participating in the scavenger hunt. It will take place on May 2nd through May 8th.
