TACOMA, Wash. — Update: A 58-year-old woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a hit-and-run on Tuesday in Tacoma that left a man seriously injured.
Troopers said the woman was booked into jail.
The victim is still in the hospital recovering, according to troopers.
According to the Washington State Patrol, late Monday night, a car struck a cable barrier on Route 512 south of Tacoma. When the driver exited the car, they stepped into the road.

A second vehicle struck the driver and failed to stop at the scene, leaving the driver behind with serious injuries.

Debris left at the scene led investigators to believe the vehicle is an older model Ford 250 or 350 pick up truck or an older model Ford transit van.
Investigators are unable to determine the color of the truck, but there will be damage to the left front, where the left blinker and headlight cover are broken.
