Pauley Perrette says she's learning who her real friends are in retirement

Pauley Perrette is trying to live her best life since retiring from acting, and she seems to be in the process of deciding who gets to live that life with her:

"The most interesting thing about saying you are retired is checking who is or who is not still your friend," the longtime NCIS favorite tweeted. "(SHE CAN'T HELP MY CAREER NOW?!?!?!) Fascinating! And VERY TELLING!"

Perrette isn't seeking sympathy—adding that she has "WAY MORE than my share of AMAZING friends and family."

The 52-year-old previously confirmed she was a "happily retired" actress last October:

But it was back in October 2017 that Perrette abruptly announced her decision to leave NCIS:

Her run as Abby Sciuto officially ended in May 2018 after 15 years and 354 episodes. 13 months later in June 2019, she explained (again on Twitter) that her departure was at least in part due to feeling "terrified" of co-star Mark Harmon, who still plays Gibbs and has since 2003 (h/t Vanity Fair).

Perrette's last Hollywood project was last year's CBS comedy series Broke, which was canceled after one season.
