(ATLANTA, Ga.) Looking for something fun and exciting to do this spring and summer? Atlanta has a few options for you and friends (or family) to put on your favorite outfit and take pictures for your social media feed.

Over the past few years, photo museums and pop-up experiences have become more popular. The installations are interactive with vibrant backgrounds, fun props and perfect lighting to produce the perfect photo.

Places like the Museum of Ice Cream, The Color Factory and Refinery 29’s “29 Rooms” installations paved the way for other cities to create an unforgettable experience for residents and visitors.

Atlanta is no different and there are a few places you can enjoy plenty of Instagrammable backdrops (or Facebook if that’s still your thing.) If you’re visiting the city or looking for something new to experience, get ready to step into your best SELFie at these photo experiences:

The TFTI Experience

Take a visit to Lenox Square for this unforgettable experience. You, your friends and your family can explore over 12 curated rooms for photos, boomerangs and videos. Immerse yourself in different themes ranging from an Upside Down Room, LOVE room, Mirror Room, Peach room and more. You can experience the popular photos throughout the week with a ticket. Social distance guidelines are enforced and capacity is limited.

The Black Hair Experience

A new experience in the city and coined as “The Black Girl Magic Playground,” this photo pop up pairs the journey of Black hair with nostalgia and culture. The Instagrammable backdrops celebrate every experience of hair with a beauty supply installation, interactive see-saw, hair bingo, kitchen, quote backdrops and more. The experience is open each weekend and social distance guidelines are in place.

Trap Music Museum

Not your typical museum, this experience brings the art and storytelling of rap’s biggest stars and influences to life. Created and founded by Atlanta rapper, T.I., visitors instantly walk into a convenient store replica (minus the candies and sodas.) Each room tells a story, resonates with infamous trap music lyrics and is set up for photos and videos to post on social media. What was originally supposed to be a pop-up, became a staple attraction due to both residents and visitors demanding it stay put.

Atlanta Selfie Museum

Located in downtown Atlanta, the city’s newest photo experience has quickly made a name for itself. Of course, you can take selfies in the right lighting outside or your favorite place in your home, but the selfie museum offers multiple backdrops, neon quote signs and interactive props.
