EXCLUSIVE 'I hope for our kids' sake he's the last one': Kieran Hayler says he's STILL MARRIED to Katie Price despite her claiming they are divorced as she gets engaged to Carl Woods
Kieran Hayley says he is still married to Katie Price despite her claiming their divorce was finalised.
The personal trainer, 34, told MailOnline their divorce is yet to be agreed following eight-years of marriage after Katie alleged in March she was 'free' having signed the papers.
In an exclusive interview, Kieran, who shares children Jett, seven, and Bunny, six, with Katie, 42, said he hopes her eighth fiancé Carl Woods, 31, will be her last as his young family 'needs stability.'
Kieran told MailOnline: 'Our divorce hasn't been finalised. We are not divorced. We are technically still married. It went to court but it hasn't been finalised yet.
'There are still forms we have to fill out and there's the decree nisi that needs to go through that hasn't been approved yet so no, we are not divorced and I don't know why everyone keeps saying we are divorced when we're not.
'It's really annoying. Everyone keeps writing we're divorced, we're divorced, we're divorced, but I'm the one that's paying for it and put it through the courts and I should be in control of telling people when we are or aren't divorced and we are not divorced yet.
'Kate said it, which is very strange considering she's the respondent from the divorce. It's very strange that she's said we're divorced when we're not yet.
'Everyone always believes her with anything she says so I just left it, I didn't challenge her over it but I know the truth and now you know the truth.
'They can be engaged that's fine but to lie about being divorced is a bit weird. And I'm the one that's paying for it and getting it done so.'
Katie, who announced last night she's engaged to former Love Island contestant Carl, claimed she signed divorce papers ending her marriage to Kieran in March.
She said: 'I'm so happy that I'm free from that marriage. The only good thing that came out of it was my children. I can now continue my life with all the badness behind me. All I can do is wish him luck. I can't wait to continue my life with Carl.'
Kieran, who proposed to Katie in 2013 following a six-week romance and married her after seven, said he prefers for her to settle down with Carl than have a 'different partner every few months.'
He said: 'At the end of the day she gets engaged to all of them so it is what it is. She does what she wants.
'She's always chasing that fairytale so if Carl is The One then I'm happy for them. At the end of the day I need to think of my children's stability and they need somebody that is there all the time and not a different partner every few months. If this is it then good luck to her.
'I have to hope for my children that Carl will be the last one. But I have no idea I'm not really in Kate's life now other than with the children.
'To be honest I have never met Carl so I don't know. It is slightly strange considering he's going to become the step dad of my kids so you would think we'd meet.
'They live so far away and we transfer the children through school so maybe that's why I haven't met him. As long as my children are happy then I'm happy, I suppose as long as Kate is happy then so is everyone else around her.'
Their relationship came to an explosive end after Katie exposed Kieran's seven-month affair with her best pal Jane Pountney in 2014.
When asked if Katie gave back the diamond ring he proposed with after their romance fell apart, Kieran said: 'Katie still has all of her engagement rings. She didn't give me the ring back.
'I imagine she's probably sold it or melted it down. I'm sure she has a few engagement rings at home.'
A representative for Katie declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.
Carl is Katie's eighth fiancé after the former Page 3 model was also engaged to Gladiator star Ace, 48, as well as businessman Scott Sullivan, and Peter Andre, who became her first husband in 2006.
Pete, 48, and Katie, who share children Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, together, split after three years of marriage.
Katie wed cage fighter Alex Reid, 45, in Las Vegas shortly after her divorce from Pete, before moving on with model Leandro Penna, 35.
Kieran married Katie after just six weeks of dating, and said she's been with at least 'seven partners' since their split in 2017, including ex-fiancé Kris Boyson, 32.
Katie's colourful love life has made it easy for Kieran to accept his ex-wife is set to remarry – and he predicts it won't be long before she walks down the aisle.
He said: 'If I'm completely honest, not one part of me feels anything about that. That relationship is done and dusted and there are no feelings there other than that we have to be a team for the children but that's basically it.
'She's had six or seven partners since so for me I've got very used to her having another person around and I just hope Carl is the right one and she's happy because if she's happy the kids will be happy.
'I thought they probably were already engaged so it didn't come as a shock to be honest. Kate likes to move quite quickly, so no doubt they'll have a wedding soon.'
Kieran is engaged to partner Michelle Penticost, 39, after he popped the question in April last year.
Michelle is now expecting the couple's first baby and together they have decided to postpone their wedding until after the arrival of their newborn.
Kieran said: 'I own a personal training and boot camp business that I do online via Zoom and face-to-face and I have an OnlyFans account, which is great and generates great money.
'I am loving my life, loving having children, that Michelle and I are expecting, I couldn't be any happier. We're going to focus on having the baby and then plan our big day.
'This year is so up and down with weddings still and hopefully next year it will be the year we can marry. We want a traditional wedding, it will be nice to have a church in a village somewhere and have a reception with all of our friends fingers crossed.'
