Grace Bull was walking through Dartmoor National Park in Devon when she scooped up Ozzy, her dachshund/Jack Russell cross, by his harness to carry him.
Hilarious footage shows the seven-year-old pooch waving and kicking his legs, as if doing a doggy paddle, until he was placed back on dry land.

It is then that the dog begins to kick his tiny legs in a paddling motion as he is carried over the muddy water.
The footage was captured by Ms Bull's sister Olivia, 25, a graphic designer from Bristol.
She said: 'It was so funny and cute that he kept paddling whilst he was in the air.'
