Driver killed in head-on crash near Mill Creek identified

MILL CREEK, Wash. — A 22-year-old driver has died and another was injured in a head-on crash Thursday in Mill Creek, fire officials said.

Police released the name of the man that died at the scene as Reed R. Baldwin of Mill Creek.

The collision happened in the 17400 block of Bothell Everett Highway.

One of the drivers was extricated and the other driver died at the scene, officials said.

A spokesperson for Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue said the drivers of both vehicles were trapped inside their cars when emergency personnel arrived.

The injured victim was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. The extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown at this time.

Police did not say what led to the crash.

Officials said northbound Bothell Everett Highway is expected to be blocked for a few hours while authorities investigate.
