Iskra Lawrence reveals she has been spat at in the street and had her breast groped in a nightclub as she details horrifying harassment she has faced

Iskra Lawrence has detailed the horrifying harassment she has faced, including being spat at in the street and groped in a nightclub.

Speaking on Josh Smith's Make It Reign, The Podcast,  the influencer, 30, said a man had approached her before spitting in her face as she tried to find money in her purse.

She said: 'There was a gentleman this one time, where I thought, he was going to ask me for money and as I was trying to find my money in my purse, he literally came up close enough, almost as if he was about to kiss me and then spat in my face – that was super uncomfortable.'

The star also detailed a disturbing incident in a club where a man came up behind her and assaulted her by putting his hand down her top.

She said:''One time when I was at a nightclub, I was at the bar and I saw this guy behind me and as I reached over to pay, he put his hand down my top and I wasn't wearing a bra.

'So he literally felt my breast and I turned around and I was like, 'excuse me!'

The star said the man and his friends had then threatened her, saying: 'Then two of his friends came and then there were three men essentially, like making me think if I said anything else, they were going to hurt me.

Terror: Speaking on Josh Smith's Make It Reign, The Podcast, the influencer, 30, said a man had approached her before spitting in her face as she tried to find money in her purse (pictured 2019)

'Luckily, thank goodness, the bouncer had seen what had gone on and came in and he removed them from the club. But if they'd followed me home or if the bouncer hadn't have seen me so uncomfortable - would anyone have believed me?

I could already sense it was that mentality of, 'well, you're in this club, you're wearing that dress and that we can assert ourselves and do anything cause aren't you here for our attention?' I've definitely been in multiple conversations like that.'

Discussing safety, Iskra said: 'As a woman I have grown up knowing that I should hold my keys so that the pointy end sticks out wherever I am walking at night, that's something as a female I get told to do just in case.

'If I am ever alone in a car park, I literally look around me like someone is going to attack me by default.'

Iskra then revealed she had decided to build a gym in her home due to a further harrowing incident when she was approached in her building after a workout session.

She said: 'In the gym, I am there to work on myself, that is me time and its part of my self-care routine.

'But I have started to build a gym in my house and buy gym equipment because of the amount of times I got stopped and I would get tapped on the shoulder in the gym and be completely startled because I've got headphones in.

'In a lift one time, we had a gym in our building and this man had watched me in the gym and then got into the elevator when I was getting in and I immediately thought 'now he's going to know what floor I live on'.

'He was trying to talk to me, and it was so uncomfortable and that was by the time that I had some followers, and he wanted a picture with me.

'I was feeling like no, I don't want to take a picture with you, I don't know who you are, you're following me up in the elevator, this is super uncomfortable.'

'As someone, who as you've seen has experienced a lot of different forms of harassment - a lot of times I didn't know how to cope or what to say or what to do. It should be in our educational syllabus.

I don't want to give them an excuse but maybe they think with the language, that they've seen their parents do it or they've been around people that do it – cat calling on the street or whatever it is.

'But we do need to figure out how to make everyone feel comfortable and I would love for women to not have to hold their keys like that when they're on their own.'

The model who welcomed her baby boy with tour manager Philip Payne, 32, last April, also spoke about motherhood and the pressure to snap back after birth.

She said:'It’s definitely always been that fear in the back of my mind, when would I become a mother and if I'm able to, what would my new body look like? How would I cope with it?

'Would my modelling career still be the same? Would people still view me the same? Would my partner still be as attracted to me?

'It’s all these weird societal expectations or fears that I don't know, even where they came from.'
