England call up George Martin for Six Nations match against Wales after losing Jack Willis to injury
Eddie Jones’ squad have reconvened at their training base at The Lensbury ahead of the next round of the Six Nations
England have called up George Martin to their 28-player squad in preparation for their Six Nations match with Wales after losing Jack Willis to injury.
The Wasps back row’s left leg was jarred when Sebastian Negri pulled him out of a ruck during the dominant win over Italy last weekend.
A statement read: “England have reconvened at their training base, The Lensbury, as they prepare for the next round of the Guinness Six Nations.
“George Martin has been called up to the 28-player squad, with Jack Willis ruled out of the tournament after suffering a knee injury in last weekend’s win over Italy.”
Wasps head coach Lee Blackett confirmed the injury is “pretty significant”.
“We will know a lot more when he sees the specialist and it settles down. I can’t tell you exactly how long [he will be out],” Blackett added.
