PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — If you love Southern food, then I have some good news for you.
Tupelo Honey, a Southern-style restaurant, is adding a new location in Station Square.
The Tupelo Honey website jokes that they're going to be "trading our 'y'all' for 'yinz.'"
But simply speaking, Pittsburgh is about to get an injection of Southern cookin'.
Founded in 2000, Tupelo Honey originated in the Carolina mountains and has looked to "revive" Southern food and traditions.
Tupelo Honey is scheduled to open up sometime in fall 2021 for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
The Southern-style restaurant is coming to Station Square as part of a $30 million revitalization project on the South Side.
A full Pittsburgh menu is still unavailable, but it will likely feature some of Tupelo's other fixtures, such as fried chicken, biscuits, green tomatoes, and grits.
