Italian restaurant lined up to replace Cure on Butler Street in Lawrenceville

PITTSBURGH — The proprietors of a new Italian restaurant slated for the 10th Ward of Lawrenceville are taking the early steps to get the word out about their new restaurant.

With the Covid-19 pandemic continuing to rage through the early winter months of 2021, brothers Anthony and Christopher Cantine have launched a new website and put out coming soon postcards announcing LaVia Trattoria, their new Italian restaurant slated to open at 5336 Butler St. in the 10th Ward of Lawrenceville.

The owners could not be reached on the phone and there’s no specifics yet on when LaVia might open, a fraught process for all aspiring restaurants right now amid all the unknowns of the pandemic.
