Travis Scott made headlines on Sunday, Nov. 7 after a mass casualty event at his sold-out Astroworld music festival in Houston that killed eight people and injured many more. Scott was on stage performing as audience members collapsed and were trampled by crowds rushing the stage. Multiple instances of drug overdoses were treated as well, according to CNN. An investigation is currently ongoing. Scott is refunding all ticket sales.

Scott also partnered with the online game “Fortnite” in 2020 to host a free concert. The event attracted 27 million views and earned him an estimated $20 million in merchandise sales.
Another big partnership for Scott was when he created a celebrity meal for McDonald’s. He earned $5 million for the endorsement and $15 million for selling related merchandise.
