(NEW YORK) The Houston Rockets completed a trade with the Brooklyn Nets to acquire James Harden, bringing his nine-year tenure in Houston to an end, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne.

The teams agreed to the trade shortly after an announcement from the Rockets to keep Harden away from Wednesday's practice. The former MVP spoke out on Tuesday during a press conference where he called out his now-former team for not being "good enough" to challenge for an NBA championship.

The trade required a third team, and the Cleveland Cavaliers stepped up to the plate. The Cavaliers will acquire Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince from Brooklyn, according to Wojnarowski and Shelburne's report.

Brooklyn is reportedly shipping Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, and four first-round picks to Houston in the blockbuster deal. They originally included guard Caris LeVert as well, but he was soon traded to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Victor Oladipo, according to Wojnarowski.

Harden concluded his time with the Rockets in a 117-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

Brooklyn has not announced when Harden will join the team. The Nets are scheduled to face the New York Knicks on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
