Cover picture for the articleItalian-British architect Richard Rogers is one of the most influential modern architects alive today. Having designed global landmarks such as the Pompidou Centre in Paris (with Renzo Piano) and Lloyd's building in London, he and his firm, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSH+P), have been commissioned to design several high-tech buildings in the Big Apple. Since completing the handsome supertall 3 World Trade Center in 2018, Rogers has at least two major projects underway in the city. Nearly finished at 1 Beekman Street is No. 33 Park Row, a gleaming glass and steel high-rise that will become Rogers's first residential project in the city. Come spring 2021, the 23-story high-rise will bring to market 30 one- to five-bedroom condo residences overlooking City Hall Park.
