Josie Gibson has revealed her trick to make losing weight easier as she vows to shed the Christmas pounds.

The This Morning star, 35, announced she is setting off on her health and fitness journey once again after creeping up to a size 18.

The former Big Brother winner told Closer magazine that while she “loves and appreciates” her body, she wants to “overhaul [her] diet and fitness and get back to a healthy size 12 again”.

The TV star has struggled with her weight since she shot to fame in 2010.

Three years later, she famously went from a size 20 to a size 8 and lost a staggering six stone.

“I first embarked on a weight-loss journey in 2013 when I shed 6st over a year with a combination of healthy eating and exercise,” she told the publication.

However, since giving birth to her son Ronnie, the doting mum pointed out there are "more important things in life" than her weight.

“I put on around four-and-a-half stone while I was pregnant with my son, Reggie - who’s now two - though.”

Josie managed to get back on track after being warned she was at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, but fell off the wagon yet again.

She now wants to use the new year as a fresh start to work on her health and achieve her goals.

“I love setting myself challenges. Who doesn’t want to be a better version of themselves?” she revealed.

Josie has set out her 2021 resolutions which include sorting out her sleeping pattern, drinking more water, doing 30-45 minutes of exercise at least three times a week and eating a clean, healthy diet.

Her trick, she said, is to set herself small, realistic targets that help her towards achieving her main goal in a manageable way.

“I want to shift quite a lot of weight, but it I were to imagine it as one huge goal, it would put me off, so I’ve turned it into more manageable weekly chunks.”

Josie said she’s “so grateful” to her body and what it’s achieved so far, but that she just needs to make a few “home renovations”.

She’s already improved her skin by drinking more water and shed a few pounds which has put a spring in her step.

The mum-of-one recently announced she was quitting social media after receiving lots of "negative" comments from online trolls.

She also said she is spending a lot of time on her phone and wants to break the "unhealthy" habit.

It comes after the TV star was forced to hit back at keyboard warriors over her weight gain in recent months.

The mother-of-one slammed a fat-shaming troll back in October after they branded her new physique "vile".
