(LOS ANGELES) Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James hinted that he is interested in buying the professional women's basketball team Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) owns.

“Think I’m gone put together an ownership group for The Dream," James tweeted late Tuesday. "Whose in?"

Loeffler owns the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, which she purchased with co-owner Mary Brock in 2011.

Loeffler lost a close Georgia Senate runoff race against Democrat Raphael Warnock overnight, according to projections by The Associated Press. She has previously stirred controversy by “adamantly” opposing the Black Lives Matter movement for promoting “violence and destruction across the country.”

In August, WNBA players showed public defiance against Loeffler by wearing “Vote Warnock” t-shirts ahead of the runoffs, according to The New York Times.

“When we realized what our owner was doing and how she was kind of using us and the Black Lives Matter movement for her political gain, we felt like we didn’t want to feel kind of lost as the pawns in this,” Dream player Elizabeth Williams told NYT.

The NBA star, who is worth an estimated $500 million, has long been an outspoken activist for social justice issues and a frequent critic of President Donald Trump. He has repeatedly urged fans to vote Republicans out of Congress.

Democrat Jon Ossoff is currently leading Republican David Perdue in Georgia's remaining runoff elections, which will determine control of the Senate until 2022 and the potential fate of Joe Biden’s presidency.

when you do buy it help change the goal height to the standard height of women vs men's goal. I think there would be more fans that would watch the women play if they could grow as tall as men. since it's rare to have that why not either raise the height for the men or lower it for the women. just a thought. I truly live to watch both men and women but it's so much more exciting if women could dunk it as easy as the men can. thanks and I appreciate the sport.
