America Ferrera reunites with Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star Amber Tamblyn for very exclusive NYE dance party with their families
America Ferrera has been a household name since starring in the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
And the Golden Globe winner has remained close with her onscreen sisters since the movie premiered 15 years ago.
She reunited with her co-star and longtime pal Amber Tamblyn for a very exclusive New Year's Eve dance party, as they rang in 2021 with their families after spending the holidays together.
The 36-year-old lip-synced to Zhané's 1994 bop Hey Mr. DJ with Tamblyn, 37, as they matched in some festive sparkling plastic crowns.
Tamblyn wrote on Instagram: 'We laughed. We cried. We shared a pod. And got our kids down by 8pm. And ate pizza and brownies. And drank a considerable amount of cocktails. And threw ourselves a prom in the storage unit of our basement so we wouldn't wake up said kids.
'And sang Zhané at the top of our lungs like wild teenagers. And in the morning begged our husbands to get up with the kids so we could sleep off the hangover. (Okay, maybe only I did that.) #SisterhoodOfTheTravelingPod #2021'
Ferrera posted some photos to Instagram in her cozy NYE look, writing: '1 hour left 2020!!! Then you gots to get the steppin! Happy New Year from our basement dance party.'
She shares son Sebastian Piers, two, and daughter Lucia Marisol, seven months, with husband Ryan Piers Williams, 39, whom she married in June of 2011.
Tamblyn married comedian David Cross, 56, in October of 2012, and they share daughter Marlow Alice, three.
Their respective families appear to be isolating together, as they recently celebrated a joint Christmas with their husbands and kids.
Ferrera coordinated ugly sweaters with her pal, writing on Instagram: 'Don't you wish your Santa was hot like us?'
She and Tamblyn starred alongside Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel in the 2005 feature adaptation of Ann Brashares' young adult novel series The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, as well as the 2008 sequel.
