The Valero Alamo Bowl between Texas and Colorado was quite fun to watch.

It featured a little bit of everything — even a substantial number of wrist bands covering linebacker DeMarvion Overshown‘s entire arm. The matchup showcased several young stars in the making for Texas, including running back Bijan Robinson and defensive lineman Alfred Collins.

Quarterback Casey Thompson was arguably the most welcomed surprise after Sam Ehlinger did not play in the second half due to a shoulder sprain. Thompson had the highest quarterback rating of the season for Texas, finishing with eight completions for 170 yards and four touchdowns.

In typical Tom Herman fashion, the Longhorns dominated their bowl game,  55-23. It’s unclear whether Herman will return to coach at Texas next season, but that was certainly ending the year on a high note.
