Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love covered the wages of stadium workers for the five home games that were canceled last season due to COVID-19 shutting down the season, according to Complex.

The five-time All-Star paid the wages for the crew of workers who swap out the hardwood floor at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. He also donated $100,000 to the Cavaliers arena and support staff in March when the pandemic began.

Love’s teammate Andre Drummond also donated to the arena staff, giving $60,000 in April, according to Bleacher Report. Drummond also donated $100,000 pieces of personal protection equipment in his home state of Connecticut.

The Cavaliers didn’t pay their workers the lost wages. The franchise did give part-time event staffers more than $1.2 million for the canceled or suspended events. The team also hasn’t had any layoffs or furloughs.
