Sir Paul McCartney rants about ‘two-faced gold digger’ in explosive song 14 years after split from Heather Mills
SIR Paul McCartney rants about a "two-faced gold digger" in an explosive new song - prompting speculation the track is about ex-wife Heather Mills.
The Beatles star’s track, Lavatory Lil, sees him accuse a mystery woman of trying to weasel a posh car out of him.
He sings: “You think she’s being friendly, but she’s looking for a Bentley.
“She says it’s hunky-dory, when she’s telling you a story.”
Paul, 78, and Heather, 52, married in 2002 but separated four years later, with fans later accusing her of being after his money.
She had sought £125million from the legendary rock star but agreed a settlement of £24.3million in 2008 which she said she was “very, very, very pleased” with.
In an accompanying interview with Uncut magazine, to promote his new album - part of his 18th solo record McCartney III due out next month, Macca said: “To tell you the truth, she was someone we rubbed up against.
“You get a few of ’em in life, these people who screw you over.
“I thought, ‘I’ll have you. I’ll write a song. You’ll never know it’s about you, because I won’t tell anyone’.
“But I’ll know. And people who know who I’m talking about will know.”
“So I drew on my dislike of this individual and made her into a song character.”
A year after his divorce Paul admitted his marriage to Heather, who he has daughter Beatrice, 17, with, was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
He said: “OK, yeah. I suppose that has to be the prime contender. But I don’t wanna down anyone.
"These things happen, y’know? But I tend to look at the positive side, which is that I have another beautiful daughter out of it.”

Paul’s first marriage was in 1969 to Linda Eastman who died at the age of 56 in 1998 following a battle with breast cancer.
He is now married to Nancy Shevell after getting hitched in 2011.
Last year it was reported Heather had found love with toy boy film producer Mike Dickman, 16 years her junior.
Last night a friend attempted to downplay the fallout, saying: “The song is about the early day of the Beatles.”
