SoCal to see slightly warmer temperatures on Wednesday
Southern California saw a "cold January," with unusually chilly afternoon highs, though the first day of February should feel a bit warmer during the day. Gusty northeast winds may affect portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties through Wednesday. In Los Angeles and Orange County, expect mild conditions through Thursday, with temps in the high 60s. Lows will be in the 40s. The valleys and Inland Empire will see similar conditions, with a high of 67 degrees on Wednesday and a low of 39. It's going to be sunny at the beaches, where waves will be up to 3 feet for Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will be in the low 60s and the lows will drop to low 40s. For the mountains, it'll still be quite cold on Wednesday. Expect a high of 41 degrees and a low of 15. The desert areas will by sunny and warm with a high of 56 degrees and the low will be 23.
