AccuWeather Alert: Nor'easter approaching
Friday will be considerably cloudy during the day as a front brings a fresh injection of cold air ahead of the nor'easter. A few snow showers during the day could leave a coating to an inch in some spots, but the steadier snow will happen Friday night into Saturday as the nor'easter moves north toward New England. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for New York City and much of the Tri-State area through Saturday evening. A blizzard warning has been issued for coastal New Jersey, including Ocean and Monmouth Counties. The storm is expected impact the New York metropolitan area with snow, wind and coastal flooding. The best chance for heavy snow will be east, along the coast and on Long Island. There will be a huge range with this storm from no snow north and west to more than a foot to the east.
