Facing a rise in coronavirus cases statewide, Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a new set of guidelines for bars and restaurants Tuesday that require patrons to keep their masks over their mouths and noses during all interactions with wait staff and other food service workers.

    NYC weed company is acquiring MOCA dispensaries in Chicago, says it isn’t done buying Illinois marijuana shops

    MOCA Modern Cannabis’ two Chicago marijuana dispensaries are being acquired by a New York City-based company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. AWH, formerly Ascend Wellness Holdings, is buying MOCA’s dispensaries in the River North and Logan Square neighborhoods. The acquisition is the first in Chicago for AWH, which owns the Illinois Supply and Provisions dispensaries in Springfield and Collinsville and a growing facility in Barry.

    New York-based marijuana giant plans to acquire 2 Chicago weed dispensaries

    A major cannabis company headquartered in New York City announced plans Tuesday to acquire a pair of Chicago marijuana shops. AWH, which operates a cultivation center in Barry and two downstate dispensaries, agreed to acquire MOCA Modern Cannabis’ flagship location in Logan Square and a newly opened store in River North.
