Women's Track and Field | May 30, 2023

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Four Explorers from the La Salle men's and women's track and field teams were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team while one runner was named to the league's All-Rookie Team, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 
El Mancini and Liz Mancini were named to the A-10 Women's Outdoor All-Academic Team and are joined by David Butts and Liam Rivard on the men's outdoor All-Academic Team. In addition to their standout performances in the classroom, all four members recently earned tickets to the NCAA East Preliminaries where El Mancini went on to qualify for the Championships in the 10K.
 
Additionally, Andres Hernandez earned a spot on the league's All-Rookie Team. The freshman clocked in the best time of all rookies in the men's 5K at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a final time of 14:23.45 to earn a spot on the team.
