SOUTH BURLINGTON POLICE CAME SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE GARAGE DOOR RE-PAINTED QUICKLY. THAT WAS THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THEIR HOME. EARLIER TODAY - HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE SPEAKER JILL KROWINSKI SENT OUT A LETTER TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE SAYING THEY'RE WORKING WITH LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE, AND AFFECTED MEMBERS TO INVESTIGATE THESE INCIDENTS. Police responded to the Timson Hill Preschool in Newfane on Friday afternoon after school officials reported receiving a threatening phone call.Vermont State Police said the call came in around 2:29 p.m. from an unknown person who threatened to carry out a shooting at the school.Troopers responded and did not find anything suspicious. No one was injured.Police remained on scene until parents arrived to pick up their children.The Windham County Sheriff's Department sent deputies to nearby schools to provide an additional police presence, according to VSP.A preliminary investigation indicates that the call originated from outside the area, and that the threat was not credible.Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600.
