Everyone in Morgantown is aware that the transfer portal is open
The NCAA Transfer Portal is open. Hundreds of players have entered their name into the database, looking for a new home. Some have already found those new schools. Others are at least taking visits. In Morgantown, one might think that the portal is on the backburner. Current players may not be ready to jump in since spring football is still going on. And the coaching staff may not be in hot pursuit of new targets as the Mountaineers are already over the scholarship limit (88 with a limit of 85 at the moment). If you're one of the people who think that, you would be wrong. Head Coach Neal Brown says it's an open discussion in the Puskar Center with current players and, while he cannot name players, the staff is already hosting transfer visitors to add to the roster. Check out his comments in the video above.
