Starke man killed in Newberry single-vehicle crash

NEWBERRY, Fla. – A 70-year-old Starke man was killed today when his car ran off the road in Newberry and overturned.

According to a report from Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling south in a sedan near 7729 SW 298th Street at about 3:35 p.m. this afternoon when the car left the roadway, hit a private gate, and traveled into the tree line before overturning. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
