Arson, murder included in 314 arrests added to the Syracuse.com police blotter

The Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard police blotter of arrests from police agencies around Central New York was updated today.

Most of the arrests are from the last two weeks. Those charged ranged in age from 16 to 86.

The police blotter is searchable by name, charge, date and agency. You can search current dates, which is the default, or change the date field and search for arrests made as far back as Jan. 1, 2021.

Among the 314 new arrests are:

  • 4 people charged with arson or attempted arson
  • 19 people charged with assault
  • 1 charged with bail jumping
  • 19 charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • 1 charged with second-degree murder
  • 2 charged with sexual abuse

(Note: When searching, if you don’t find something you are looking for, try adjusting the date range for your search. Crimes added this week are usually arrests from about the past two weeks, but occasionally include people arrested several weeks ago.)
