    Two young men killed in overnight NYC shootings

    Two men were killed in separate shootings in Queens and The Bronx Friday night, police said.

    Jean Pierre Rengifo-Arteaga, 23, was shot in the head, right forearm and abdomen at his Corona home on 96th Street around 7:20 p.m. and later pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital, police said.

    Police did not have a motive for the shooting.

    No arrests have been made.

    Just over two hours later, at 9:30 p.m., a man was shot multiple times in the back at 1911 Anthony Ave., near East Tremont Avenue in Mount Hope, cops said.

    The victim, Mahmudo Jabbi, 24, of The Bronx, was later pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital, police said.

    There have been no arrests.

    Anywhere that runs along the 4 and 5 line in the Bronx is a death zone. Nine out of ten crimes happen within 2 miles from a train station there. It's a fact. I've researched this data for 5 years.
