The Issue: Mayor Adams’ latest corruption scandal centering on the federal probe into high-ranking staff. The Biden-Harris Justice Department continues to ramp up the heat on Mayor Adams (“ Feds go after mayor’s team, ” Sept. 6).
Gee, I wonder if this has anything to do with Adams’ mild criticism of Biden’s immigration policies over the past year. Perhaps this investigation serves as a warning to other Democratic politicians to watch their words.
After all, Democrats pride themselves as fierce defenders of democracy. What better way to defend it than by weaponizing law enforcement to stifle dissent and go after their own critics?

Adams’ behavior is the responsibility of New York’s voters who elected him.
Beyond the corruption allegations, his tenure as mayor has continued the city’s decline in quality of life that began under former Mayor Bill de Blasio. Adams is accountable to both the voters who cast their ballots for him and those who didn’t vote against him.

Feds raid home of NYPD Commish Edward Caban, other close Adams allies Two Adams allies being eyed by feds for potentially influencing city contracts, taking kickbacks
During his short tenure as New York’s mayor, Adams’ staff has faced more legal scrutiny and FBI raids than former President Donald Trump — who’s now been found guilty of felonies.
It looks like there’s an orange prison jumpsuit with Mayor Adams’ name on it. But perhaps Adams should run for president himself. He might then receive the same safeguards as Trump.

So we might now have a corrupt NYPD commissioner. This is outrageous. I think it’s time to institute another Knapp Commission to expose corruption in the Adams administration.
How can we rely on the NYPD keep our city safe when those at the top are engaged in corruption?

NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban and other top figures in Mayor Adams’ administration had their homes raided by the Justice Department.
It’s bad enough that many others have been under investigation over the past year, while the mayor himself remains unscathed — for now.
We’ve never paid migrants’ costs before — so why is Eric Adams doing so now?
That could quickly change, however, if those being investigated decide to implicate Adams to avoid prosecution.
In the end, Adams and his entire administration may need to be replaced.

With the latest raids targeting his deputy mayor and the NYPD commissioner, the walls are closing in on Adams.
When he became mayor, Adams kept old white guys out of his administration and installed a circle of his friends, referring to his team as “chocolate.”
Instead of throwing his lackeys under the bus, maybe it’s now time for Adams to throw in the towel.

As soon as Trump announced his candidacy, he was indicted four times. The Justice Department sent its best to prosecute him, and Democratic states began working to keep Trump off the ballot.
When Mayor Adams criticized the White House over the cost of illegal migrants, everyone in his administration either had their home raided or is under investigation. Is there a pattern here?

Something smells rotten in the Adams administration.
The Justice Department served search warrants and subpoenas on several high-ranking officials. They must have had probable cause for the warrants to be approved.
Even if Adams isn’t the subject of the investigation, this bodes poorly for his re-election chances. He’s the mayor, and he picked these people.

Great reporting from The Post. I believe that Adams is the ringleader of the whole crooked mob.
