Dak Prescott’s biggest supporter is celebrating the Cowboys’ new $240 million man.
Hours after Dallas made Prescott, 31, the highest-paid player in league history on Sunday with a monster four-year extension , Sarah Jane Ramos penned a heartfelt message to her quarterback beau on her Instagram Stories.
“The most deserving man and the best partner and father, We love you,” Ramos wrote alongside a photo of Prescott in his Cowboys uniform.
“I’ve played a game for the pure love for the guys in that locker room. Yes, this game has always brought me something that not a lot of things in life do. That type of peace, it does. Just being out there in between the lines with people that you share a brotherhood with. Yeah, something that’s just special about this game of football and we’re just blessed that that money comes with it, and I’m in the position that I’m in that we can be having these conversations,” Prescott said Thursday, according to the Cowboys’ website .
The deal, which boasts $231 million in guaranteed money and a $80 million signing bonus, was struck before the Cowboys’ season opener Sunday against the Browns in Cleveland.
A fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State in 2016, Prescott is kicking off his ninth season in Dallas.
Despite leading the Cowboys to a 12-5 regular-season record last year and an NFC East title, Dallas was bounced out of the playoffs in January after an embarrassing wild-card loss to the Packers at home.
The Cowboys opted to retain head coach Mike McCarthy this offseason but he is coaching on an expiring deal.
Prescott finished last season throwing for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions through 17 regular-season appearances.
