In the wake of his ongoing legal troubles, Sean “Diddy” Combs, the head of Bad Boy Records, is feeling the repercussions.
The latest organization to distance itself from the beleaguered music mogul is the Met Gala, one of the fashion industry’s most prestigious events.
According to a report by Marca, Diddy has not been invited to this year’s Met Gala, scheduled for May 6 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
“The former fixture at the fashion event, who once held massive sway with his Sean John clothing line, won’t receive one of the coveted invites to this year’s event,” the report quoted an insider as saying.

This snub comes after sexual assault lawsuits led to a federal sex trafficking investigation against the rapper. Diddy, who has attended multiple Met Galas in the past, made a notable appearance at last year’s event with on-again, off-again girlfriend Yung Miami.

Interestingly, Yung Miami was named in the sexual assault lawsuit against her lover filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. Jones alleges that she acted as Diddy’s drug mule and was among several women who were paid to have sex with him.
One of the several suits filed against the record executive alleges that Miami would procure “pink cocaine,” a mixture of cocaine and ecstasy, for Diddy’s parties. She allegedly delivered it to him via private jet at Pharrell’s Something In The Water Festival in Virginia last year.
“No Diddy” term catches on
Meanwhile, there seems to be a competition underway to trademark the term “No Diddy,” with Quilly, a rapper from Philadelphia, and another individual.
On social media, the new slang is replacing terms like “pause” and “no homo,” which have been used in the hip-hop industry since the 1990s.
People are reassured by this that the person using it is not gay. But the reason behind the use of “No Diddy” is Diddy’s numerous recent lawsuits, in which the mogul of Bad Boy Entertainment is charged with disturbing sexual abuse.
