NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was shot in the face and neck as he sat in his car in Chinatown, police said Tuesday.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspected gunman they're searching for in last Friday's shooting at Canal and Chrystie streets.

The 28-year-old victim was sitting in his car at 12:40 a.m. when a man came up and got into an argument with him about something.

As the dispute escalated, the man took out a gun and fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing northbound on Chrystie Street, police said.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his left cheek and a graze wound to the back of his neck.

He drove himself to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
