HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A Queens man was arrested for allegedly stealing cooking oil from a Long Island Chick-fil-A and then reselling it over the course of two months.

Oil thefts at the chicken chain on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station date back to late January, Suffolk County police said Thursday.

Authorities allege Hector Castrol-Espinal, 23, siphoned the cooking oil into a rented truck and then resold it.

He's believed to be behind cooking oil thefts on two days in January and two days in February, as well as a fifth theft on March 23.

He was charged with five counts of petit larceny and issued a desk appearance ticket.
